These terms apply when you use invitated.com, buy an invitation from us, use your dashboard at portal.invitated.com, or open an invitation made with Invitated. “Invitated”, “we” and “us” mean the team behind the service; “you” means the person using it. By paying for a package or using the service, you agree to these terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
1. What we offer
Template ($49)
One of our ready-made invitation designs, which you personalise yourself. Your dashboard opens as soon as the payment goes through. In it you can add your names, date, venue, timeline, dress code, photos and music, preview every change, publish the invitation on its own link, and collect your guests’ replies.
Custom design ($199)
Everything in Template, plus an invitation designed only for your event. It begins with a concept call. We then design and build it, usually within about five working days of agreeing the concept, and make revisions you ask for until your wedding day. A custom design is made for you alone and is not resold as a template.
Prices are in US dollars and are shown on the site at the time you buy. Your bank may add its own currency or card fees.
2. Your account
Your dashboard is reached with your email address and a password. Keep them to yourself: you are responsible for what is done in your account. Tell us straight away at hi@invitated.com if you think someone else has got into it. You must be at least 18 to buy from us.
3. Payment
Payment is taken in full, in advance, by Stripe. A package is for one event and one invitation. Anything beyond the package, such as a second invitation or work outside what a custom design includes, is agreed and priced separately before we start it.
4. Refunds
- Template. If you change your mind, write to us within 14 days of buying and before you publish the invitation, and we will refund you in full. Once an invitation has been published, the purchase is non-refundable.
- Custom design. We refund in full if you cancel before the concept call. Once design work has begun, the payment is non-refundable, because the time has been spent on work made only for you.
- If we fail to deliver what you paid for, you will always get your money back.
Nothing here takes away any right to a refund or cancellation that the law where you live gives you.
5. Hosting and how long it lasts
A published invitation stays live on its link until your wedding date and for two months after it. If your date moves, change it in your dashboard and the period moves with it. Afterwards the invitation is taken offline, and your guest list stays in your dashboard. We aim to keep invitations available at all times, but we cannot promise the service will never be interrupted, for example during maintenance or an outage at one of our providers.
6. Your content
Everything you add to your invitation, including names, words, photos and music, remains yours. You give us permission to store, copy, resize and display it only as needed to host your invitation and show it to the people you share it with, and, for a custom design, to design around it. We will not use your photos or names in our own marketing without asking you first.
By adding content, you confirm that:
- you own it or have permission to use it, including any music and any photos of other people;
- it is not unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or an infringement of anyone’s rights;
- you have a fair reason to collect the guest information your RSVP form asks for, and you will use it only to plan your event.
We may remove content, or take an invitation offline, if it breaks these rules or if we receive a valid legal complaint about it. Where we can, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix it.
7. Our designs
The templates, illustrations, animations, fonts and code that make up Invitated belong to us or to those who license them to us. Your package gives you the right to use your invitation for your own event. It does not let you copy, resell or reuse our designs or code elsewhere.
8. Fair use
Please do not try to get into other people’s invitations or accounts, interfere with the service, send automated traffic at it, or use it to send spam. We may suspend accounts that do.
9. Guests
If you open an invitation as a guest, the invitation and its RSVP form belong to the couple who sent it. Your reply goes to them. Questions about the event itself are best asked of the couple; questions about your information can be sent to us, as our Privacy Policy explains.
10. Liability
We build Invitated with care, but it is provided “as is”. We are not responsible for decisions guests make based on an invitation, for details you entered incorrectly, or for losses we could not reasonably have foreseen. As far as the law allows, our total liability to you for anything arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us for it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
11. Ending the service
You can ask us to delete your account at any time. We may end or suspend an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. If we ever stop offering Invitated, we will give couples with live invitations reasonable notice and a way to keep their guest list.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service changes. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If a change materially affects a package you have already bought, we will tell you by email, and the terms you bought under continue to apply to that purchase unless you agree otherwise.
13. Disputes
If something is wrong, please write to us first. Most problems are solved in a single email. These terms are governed by the laws of the country in which Invitated is established, without taking away any protection the consumer law of the country where you live gives you.
